What is PTL — Part Truck Load freight?
PTL stands for Part Truck Load. Instead of booking an entire truck for your consignment, multiple shippers share one vehicle and each pays only for the space their cargo actually occupies. This makes PTL significantly more economical than full truck booking for consignments that do not fill a truck on their own.
SafeShift operates PTL on a hub-and-spoke model with daily fixed-schedule runs from our Ranchi hub covering all 24 Jharkhand districts and from our Patna hub covering all 38 Bihar districts. The key difference between SafeShift PTL and informal part-load transport is that our vehicles depart on fixed times regardless of load volume — your consignment never sits at a depot waiting for the truck to fill up.

What is FTL — Full Truck Load freight?
FTL means your consignment gets a dedicated vehicle exclusively for itself — no other cargo shares the truck, there is no consolidation at a hub, and there is no intermediate offloading at any point between origin and destination. The truck goes directly from your premises to the delivery address.
This makes FTL the right choice when your cargo volume is large enough to fill a truck, when your goods are fragile or high-value and cannot risk handling at consolidation points, or when your delivery is time-critical and needs the fastest possible point-to-point movement. SafeShift FTL operates on local, inter-state, and pan-India routes from all four of our branch locations.
Do you provide packers and movers services in Jamshedpur?
Yes. Jamshedpur is SafeShift’s headquarters city and our largest packers and movers operation. We handle household shifting across all Jamshedpur localities — Telco, Sonari, Kadma, Sakchi, Bistupur, Adityapur, and Jugsalai — with same-day completion for local moves booked before 10AM.
Our professional packers and movers service in Jamshedpur covers complete household relocation including furniture disassembly and reassembly, appliance packing, vehicle transportation, and office shifting. We use our own trained crew and company vehicles — not daily-wage labour or hired tempos. Every move includes a GST invoice and a signed delivery receipt.

At our consolidation hubs in Ranchi and Patna, cargo is handled by permanently employed trained staff using proper securing equipment — not casual daily labour. Fragile items, white goods, and electronics are padded and protected before loading. For household moves, our packing crew uses corrugated sheets, bubble wrap, foam padding, and stretch wrap appropriate to each item type.
Every consignment generates a receipt with full cargo details at pickup and a signed proof of delivery at destination — giving you a complete paper trail if any dispute arises. For high-value cargo, transit insurance can be arranged on request.
Do you provide door-to-door logistics services?
Yes. Door-to-door means our crew collects your consignment from your premises — whether a residence, office, factory, or warehouse — and delivers directly to your consignee’s address without you needing to drop off or pick up at any depot or branch.
Door-to-door service is available across all 62 districts of Bihar and Jharkhand and on pan-India routes to major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune. For pan-India moves SafeShift uses either dedicated FTL vehicles for large volumes or our PTL network for smaller consignments where shared transport is more economical.
