Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to SafeShift Logistics Pvt. Ltd.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the access to and use of the logistics, transportation, and related services provided by SafeShift Logistics Pvt. Ltd. (“SafeShift”, “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By accessing our website, booking shipments, or using any of our logistics services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must refrain from using our services.


2. Scope of Services

SafeShift Logistics Pvt. Ltd. provides logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, pickup, delivery, and supply chain support services, Packers and Movers, Relocation, Removal services for individuals and businesses.

The exact nature of the services, including delivery timelines, service levels, pricing, and operational terms, will be defined in the service agreement, quotation, invoice, shipment order, or booking confirmation issued to the client.

SafeShift reserves the right to modify, suspend, or enhance its services at any time in order to maintain operational efficiency, compliance, and service quality.


3. Client Responsibilities

By using our services, the client agrees to the following responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful shipment information, including sender and receiver details.
  • Ensure that all shipments comply with applicable laws, customs regulations, and transportation guidelines.
  • Properly pack, label, and secure goods to prevent damage during transit.
  • Ensure that goods are safe, legal, and suitable for transportation.
  • Pay all service charges, duties, taxes, and applicable fees within the agreed payment period.

SafeShift Logistic Pvt. Ltd. shall not be responsible for delays, damages, or regulatory actions arising from incorrect information or improper packaging provided by the client.


4. Prohibited and Restricted Shipments

Clients must not ship goods that are prohibited, illegal, or unsafe under applicable laws or company policy.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

  • Explosives, ammunition, firearms, or weapons
  • Hazardous or radioactive materials
  • Flammable chemicals or toxic substances
  • Illegal drugs or narcotics
  • Counterfeit goods or restricted imports/exports
  • Precious metals, currency, or high-value items unless declared and approved
  • Perishable goods without proper packaging and declaration

SafeShift reserves the right to inspect shipments and refuse, hold, confiscate, or report any prohibited goods to authorities.


5. Shipment Packaging and Risk

Clients are responsible for ensuring that all goods are properly packaged and protected for transportation.

SafeShift shall not be liable for damage caused due to:

  • Inadequate or improper packaging
  • Fragile items shipped without appropriate protection
  • Internal damage caused by the nature of the goods

Where required, clients may request additional packaging or insurance services, subject to availability and additional charges.


6. Pricing and Payment Terms

Service charges will be determined based on weight, volume, distance, service level, and operational requirements.

Payments must be made in accordance with the terms specified in the invoice, service agreement, or booking confirmation.

SafeShift reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or delay shipments in case of pending payments
  • Apply late payment charges or penalties
  • Recover outstanding dues through lawful collection procedures

All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, unless otherwise specified.


7. Delivery and Transit Time

Delivery timelines provided by SafeShift are estimated and indicative only.

While we make every reasonable effort to meet delivery commitments, SafeShift shall not be held responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions
  • Traffic disruptions
  • Government restrictions or inspections
  • Customs clearance procedures
  • Natural disasters or unforeseen operational circumstances

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeShift Logistics Pvt. Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of business
  • Loss of profits
  • Loss of data or opportunity
  • Business interruption

In any event, the total liability of SafeShift arising from a specific shipment shall not exceed the service charges paid for that shipment, unless additional insurance coverage has been explicitly purchased.


9. Insurance

Unless specifically agreed in writing, shipments are not automatically insured.

Clients may request shipment insurance coverage at additional cost prior to dispatch. Insurance claims shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the respective insurance provider.


10. Force Majeure

SafeShift shall not be held responsible for any delay, failure, or disruption in services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Floods, earthquakes, or fires
  • War, civil unrest, or riots
  • Government actions or regulatory changes
  • Labor strikes or transportation shutdowns
  • Pandemic or public health emergencies

In such circumstances, SafeShift will make reasonable efforts to resume services as soon as possible.


11. Indemnification

The client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SafeShift Logistics Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Shipment of prohibited or illegal goods
  • Breach of applicable laws or regulations
  • Improper packaging or inaccurate shipment declarations

12. Suspension or Termination of Services

SafeShift reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate services without prior notice if:

  • The client violates these Terms
  • Payment obligations are not fulfilled
  • A shipment presents safety, legal, or operational risks

Termination does not affect outstanding obligations, payments, or liabilities.


13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services provided by SafeShift Logistic Pvt. Ltd. shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India.


14. Amendments to Terms

SafeShift Logistic Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms at any time.

Updated versions will be published on our official website, and continued use of the services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
